Traveling with the farm animals

Wednesday morning my Mom called and said that her car was broke down and needed me to come get her and Dad, she was scheduled to go up the coast to see Grandma and help aunt Carolyn can something. Well with her car dead I said I could take her, then I remembered that I was feeding a baby calf Norman on two momma goats, so I could not get away. She suggested taking them with us. So we did, off we went Mom, Carly, Jeffery and I all my dogs (4) and hauling the goats (3) and Norman in a trailer behind us.

A night to myself, what to do?

I am having a night to myself and I have not exciting plans. I got to go back to bed and sleep until 5 PM that was so wonderful, I have been very tired lately.

On a more interesting news I finally have a kitchen in the old shop, I got a range on Tuesday and running water to my sink and dishwasher yesterday. It is so nice to have all the parts for the kitchen in place now. Thank you Lord.

I have a 7 yr old little girl living with me for a while, she came on the 13th she will be with me until the end of next month. She will be moving on to a very good home, I was really encouraged when I talked to the new foster mom to be, she is willing to commit to this funny little girl.

4th of July 2009

We have had a good day. We went to a family potluck, I ended the party by falling asleep on the couch. I have been so busy this last while, I have moved back to my trailer, which I am so so happy about, I had a 21 month old girl and a 4 year old little boy for a month. They went to their grandmas on Thursday the 2nd, I pray that that is a good place for them. The little girl was quite a screamer at first but she was coming around by the time she left, the boy was finally starting to show his true colors (the honeymoon was ending) but that is normal. I was only supposed to have them 1 week that turned into 4 weeks, I am glad that I had them long enough to get to know them. I am back a the trailer now and the kids are so happy to be in their rooms again they go face lifts, Jeffery has a Cars room and Carly go to splatter paint her room, she had so much fun painting it. My bed is in my old kitchen, doesn't everybody have a kitchen sink in their bedroom. Kind of like a frigde in the living room, I am just unconvicinal I guess. The kitchen is in the newly remodeled shed. It is all coming together so nice, I am hoping to have a big Thanksgiving do at my house. It should all be done by then. All total I have 7 beds and 1 toddler bed and 2 cribs in the trailer, that ot to be about enough, one would think. I don't know when I will get more kids but until I do I am going to finish putting my kitchen together.

Also on the 1st I had the wonderful privlage of witnessing another homebirth. I am so amazed at the way God created the female body for such a perpose. Mother and Baby are doing great. The birth was early in the am so I pulled an all nighter and I realies that I am not as young as I was once and I am still tring to cheach up for the lack of sleep.

Beauty right out our back door

We live is such a beautiful place, I have live here all my life and have and have never taken the time to go see the wonderful sight we have right out our back door. I have been wanting to go see a couple of waterfall out by Powers and just have not gone. Well Saturday me and the kids went, and I was not disappointed at all. As you can see by the few pictures that it is SO wonderful. I was so glad that we went it was a nice way to end spring break week. The kids head back to school tomorrow. The first picture is of me and my kids in front of Elk Creek Falls. The next one is the bottom fall at Coquille Falls, third is the to fall at Coquille Falls. The last one is the whole of Elk Creek Falls. Our God is an awesome God, to create such wonder.

Growing boy

Look I have 4 teeth, Brogan is getting so big now.
Brogan is already fascinated with motorized vehicles. This baby boy has been such a blessing to me and my family, I am so thankful that my brother Ryan and Genna share him with me. I am so honored that they trust me to care for him. I will be able to have such an impact on him, way cool.

Some wondering thoughts

It is now spring a fact which I am so grateful for. My dad brought about 25 ewes to my place when they came none of them had lambs now all but about 3 or 4 have lambed, so there are lots of bleeting and bahing going on around here. My daughters 4-H ewe got brought in from the big field on Friday, she had to have her lamb pulled. It did not make it so we gave her two baby girl lambs to raise we have had her in a small pen near the house so that we could hold her still for the babies to nurse. Praise the Lord she took them both and I was able to open her pen and let her out this afternoon on our way to town. When we got home 3 hours later the happy little family was standing in the driveway and I watched the lambs nurse and the mama love one both babies. I comitted that it was kind of like my and my kids, we are not blood related but we love each other and are a happy family, and that if a person did not know the behind story one would never know that the sheep and the lambs were not related and the same with my family, people just think we are relates. Thank you Lord for adoption in both the human world and with the sheep. It is great because the mama sheep will raise two nice lambs and we will not have to bottle feed them, the best of all.

Spring break and respite care must go hand in hand, I have know since Christmas that I would have the extra 17 year old, not a problem. Today my certifier called and asked if I would keep a 6 year old little boy. I told him what I have going on at my house and told him if he did not mind then I would keep him. He had no problem with it and gave my number to the foster mother. She called and this boy is coming tomorrow and staying through Friday or Saturday. I think after this week is over I will need respite care for myself. I pray that I can make it.

Last Friday evening I have the wonderful opportunity to witness another home birth. A beautiful baby boy was born to a nice christan family. I am so amazed at woman-mothers, God built the woman's body with such capabilities. It only told this mother about 3o minutes to push her baby out, AMAZING. He is healthy and much loved by his 2 older sister, mom and dad. The father was so cute after the birth and the fact that it was a boy, he was on cloud 12 at least. He got to call and share the exciting news with his family and friends. Thank you Lord for babies.

Tax problems and questions

My aunt, who is doing my taxes, called me this morning to tell me that my return was denied because someone had already used my kids on their taxes. I have no clue which kid or who did this, I am a bit annoyed by this. It will be several months before it is all sorted out. I was looking forward to paying off a bill with this money. This is just another way I am being taught patients right now.

Another way is that I really want our property to sell soon. I have had a few people come and look at it but no one has made an offer yet. I just keep praying that it will be soon, in Gods time.

Also spring break starts today. I will have an extra 17 year old around for the week also, she has stayed with me twice before, so my kids are looking forward to her coming to visit, that makes it nice. I really need make a list of everything I want and need to get done so that I might be kept on track. But for those of you that know me you know it takes an act of God to keep me on track.

One a total different topic, the cops in the town I live in have been having big problems we have had 2 different ones get arrested in the last 2 months. One for theft and the latest one for contributing to a minor, duh. What is this world coming to? As a society we have left God out of things and look what happens. Lord forgive us.

Question of the day...

How many people dose it take to proof read a blog post? Answer at the bottom

I was showing Carly my post from yesterday and she started making fun of my grammer skills or lack there of, so I had to go back and fix the numerous problems. As I sit here typing this post she is reading over my shoulder and checking my mistakes and laughing like crazy. Just the other night Carly and I were up having a conversation about the school year perhaps going to year round school. She asked if I know why they had summer break and I told her that it was because, years ago the kids were needed to help on the farm. She was SO AMAZED that I knew this, I asked her if she thought I was completely dumb. She Is so amazed that I am actually quite an intelligent individual, I just can't spell. We are having a bonding moment right now trying to get this post right, really we are about to pee our pants. Well at least I am good for something..............comic relief. I am going to beat this teenager (with a wet noodle). No seriously beat her.

Well the answer is 3, 2-17 year olds and me.

Budding photographers's in the house

This afternoon the girls went for a walk and took pictures along the way, they took many real nice photos. When they came inside to share their pictures with me, I suggested that they hang a sheet in a door frame as a backdrop to pose one another in front of. These are just a very few of the close to 400 pictures total they took.

Look at these two aren't they cute.
This little boy is one of my most farvorite models of all.
Well this is my girl, we were having fun with different lighting. She might need to work on her modeling skills.
This picture of Jeffery is so cute, he make a good model.
This adorable model is our puppy Muddy.
This beautiful young lady makes a wonderful model.

Me and my kids

Don't they make me look cute. I love these two so much. Thank you Lord for the privilege of being their mother.

A few of my farorite things (people)

Just a very few of my favorite people, more to come later. Also I have changed my layout to reflect the coming of my favorite holiday, St Patricks Day.

I am having computer problems

I need a new laptop power cord mine died. I had no idea until now that I was so addicted to my internet connection. I have a friend in town that has the same laptop as I do so I am able to charge my laptop battery. I have a line on a cord in town but the store guy was not in today, oh. I am also having my deck top worked on so that I will have internet even if it takes awhile to get a cord. I am so bad.

On a funner note I got to see my little niece 3 times during the last 5 days. She is such a funny little girl, I guess she is bound to be after all she is related to me. First my kids, Brogan and I road up to Julie's house with my Grandma and Aunt Corlyn. We had a real nice visit. I decide that the way to visit Julie is to take Brogan with me so she can see him while I get to visit with Katelyn. Second was Sunday afternoon after I tagged 2 sheep in Bandon because Julie was down I got to see her again. Last was Julie asked me to go to her house on Tuesday and stay with Katelyn so she could go look for our horse who went on run about to a neighbors place. I stayed with Katelyn while Julie and Jeffery when to check out what the scoop was with the horses and then they feed cows. I took lots of picture of my cute little niece while I was with her.

Last weekend

Last weekend was such an interesting weekend, I got to attend my first home birth. It was such a privilege to be able to be a witness to the birth of a healthy baby boy. God made women with such an amazing power, the power to give birth, I am in ow of mothers. Mothers are so important, the hand that rocks the cradle rule the world. Thank you Lord for the opportunity of being a mother.

I got home for the birth at 5:30 am, the woman that is living with me was still up when I got home, surprised me. My nephew was here and Carly brought him down about 6 am so he and I slept in the chair till about 9 am then I have to get ready to go to Coos Bay to help Stacey at the Bridal Fair. I was to stay at the fair while she was at the shop helping customers. I was so tired after being up almost all night. Well I got home from Coos Bay at 8 pm, long day. I came home to a teething Brogan, he was not a happy camper, poor little guy. He was fussy and so Saturday night I did not get much sleep either. I was wake up Sunday morning and then said don't wake me up again, so my kids got ready for church with out me. I am so proud that my kids were going to go with out me. I did get up and drive them so they did not have to walk the mile in the rain. I did get Brogan to sleep and he stayed home with Mel and I went to the potluck after church. Slacker I know, but boy I was tired. Brogan cut a top tooth, he now has three. He is growing up so fast. I am so grateful to be such a big part of his life. This summer will be fun with a toddler around.

This is only part of the craziness of last weekend. I am glad it is over and I did survive.

More signs of spring

Pictures of spring, these lambs happen to be a set of triplets. They and their mom live in the field right by my house so I can keep an eye on them. So far they are doing great, a little small but real nice for triples. And daffodils my favorite flower of all, yet another sign of spring.

need some good humor

A Minneapolis couple decided to go to Florida to thaw out during a particularly icy winter. They planned to stay at the same hotel where they spent their honeymoon 20 years earlier. Because of hectic schedules, it was difficult to coordinate their travel schedules. So the husband left Minnesota and fly to Florida on Thursday, with his wife flying down the following day.
The husband checked into the hotel. There was a computer in his room, so he decided to send an e-mail to his wife. However, he accidentally left out one letter in her e-mail address, and without realizing his error, sent the e-mail.

Meanwhile, somewhere in Houston, a widow had just returned home from her husband’s funeral. He was a minister who was called home to glory following a heart attack. The widow decide to check her e-mail expecting messages from relatives and friends. After reading the first message she screamed and fainted.
The widow’s son rushed into the room, found his mother on the floor, saw the computer screen which read:

TO: my loving wife

Subject: I’ve arrived
Date: April 13,2007

I know you’re surprised to hear from me. They have computers here now and you are allowed to send e-mails to your loved ones. I’ve arrived and have been checked in. I see that everything has been prepared for your arrival tomorrow. Looking forwarded to seeing you then! Hope your journey is as uneventful as mine was.

Your Loving Husband

P.S. It sure is freaking hot down here.

Dog troubles

Well we have had quite the drama around here lately, my dogs have gone on walk about twice in the past week. I have a 5 yr old border collie Meg and a half German Shepard puppy Blacky who was my sons birthday gift. Meg has a habit of going on walk about when we try and have other dogs, by herself she stays home. Well last Thursday the 19th, the bus driver asked Carly if we had a black puppy, she saw one on the road. Carly forgot to call me and then remembered to mention this Thursday night, I was so frustrated. I was sad that they were gone, I even put an add on the local radio about last dogs. I was praying that they would come home, well Saturday morning out the backdoor i saw Blacky they had come home. Praise the Lord. The kids were so glad to have them home, they let the dogs laid in the house watching TV with them. I too was so relived. Well then Tuesday Jeffery and I went to work at the shed and I let Jeffery take the dogs so that he could play with Blacky, well we got ready to leave and they were gone again. The whole nervous feelings all over again. I would go over to the shed to see if they were there but no. I was again resigned to the fact that the dogs were not going to come home again, but once again God answered our prayers. When Carly and I got home tonight Blacky was in her cage on the porch. Meg did not come when called so well at least one was back. Blacky came in and sleep like a rock. About half an hour ago I went out to get my radio to listen to a show and just called for Meg and this time she came. Oh thank you Lord. I had drove over to the shed and got my dog chain so now Meg will be chained at all times when we are not with her. I can not handle the emotional up and down of all this.

The dogs are sleeping in my room tonight, I am so relived to have them home. Plus it will be a nice surprise for Carly in the morning. Boy one of the passes so raunchy gas, I just might get gassed, ha ha.

So once again Thank You Lord for bring the dogs back, please help them be content to stay home. Amen

I finally got to do something on my shop project.

Today with the help of Heather and her dad Milt, we got alot of the taping and mudding done so we are one step closer to getting it done. It was nice to actually get to do something in the house. It has come so far in 2 months, it is not a shop anymore it is a one room house. The bonus is that 8 feet away is my trailer that will have 6 bedrooms in it, after we get the walls put up. The trailer has 3 rooms now so I will get twice the rooms, so bring on the kids. I can't wait to see how the Lord will use me and the kids next. I will have a nice new kitchen, living space and another bathroom that will be SO nice.
This picture shows me filling screw holes on the ceiling.

The weather today was wet, it did not rain all day but long enough to keep every thing mudding.

light-hearted enjoy

W.C.

An English lady, while visiting Switzerland, was looking for a room and asked a local schoolmaster if he could recommend one. He took her to several rooms, and when everything was settled, she returned home to make final arrangements for moving. When she arrived home, the thought occurred to her that she had not seen a W.C. (water closet or bathroom) around the place. She immediately wrote to the schoolmaster asking him where the W.C. was. The schoolmaster didn’t know the meaning of “W.C.”. so with a priest’s assistance, he came to the conclusion that it meant “wayside chapel” (a small building beside the road where travelers could rest or pray). He sent a letter back to the English lady, which read as follows:

Dear madam:
I take great pleasure in informing you that the nearest W.C. is situated only nine miles from the house in a beautiful grove of trees. It is capable of holding 32 people. It is open only on Mondays and Thursdays.
There are a great number of people expected during the summer months, so I would suggest that you come early, although there is usually plenty of standing room.
This is an unfortunate situation. Especially if you are in the habit of going regularly.

You will, no doubt, be glad to hear that a number of people bring there lunch and make a day of it, while others who can’t afford it, arrive just in time. I would recommend Thursdays because, on that day, there is an organ accompanist. The slightest sound can be heard anywhere.
It may interest you to know that my daughter met her husband in the W.C., and they were married there.

I can still vividly remember the rush for seats. Seven people crowded into seats for four. It was wonderful to see the expressions on there faces.
Unfortunately, my wife is rather delicate, so she has not attended in over a year. Naturally, it pains her very much not to be able to go more often. I shall be delighted to reserve a seat for you if you wish,
Where you can be seen by all.
Hoping to be of assistance, I am.
Sincerely yours.

Enjoying Sunday

I have had a very nice day today. Brogan woke up at 7 am, I changed him and feed him a bottle and then he went back to sleep. He got up at 9:30, Carly got him dressed and off we were to church. I really enjoyed the sermen today, the pastor talked about working out our salvation, not that we can earn our way to heaven but what we do reflects back on our father God. We want our actions to show others that our chistian life is important to us.

We had 4 people from church over for tacos, the kids ate and then went for a hike which left me able to really get to visit with my company which was so nice. The kids hiked for a hour all the way to my moms house they have walked to grandmas house 3 times now. This was there fastest trip so far. While the kids were hiking Brogan hook his nap, such a nice afternoon. Thank you Lord I really needed it. We are now sitting watching Ice truckers and enjoy the warm house and each other.

Getting Started

I have been thinking about starting a blog to keep track of my life and so that friends can read what my family has been up to, well I did it. So hello to all who might be read this. I can not promise that all the words will be spelled right or all the grammer or that I will not jump around some, but if you know me then this will not be a big surprise.
