need some good humor

A Minneapolis couple decided to go to Florida to thaw out during a particularly icy winter. They planned to stay at the same hotel where they spent their honeymoon 20 years earlier. Because of hectic schedules, it was difficult to coordinate their travel schedules. So the husband left Minnesota and fly to Florida on Thursday, with his wife flying down the following day.
The husband checked into the hotel. There was a computer in his room, so he decided to send an e-mail to his wife. However, he accidentally left out one letter in her e-mail address, and without realizing his error, sent the e-mail.

Meanwhile, somewhere in Houston, a widow had just returned home from her husband’s funeral. He was a minister who was called home to glory following a heart attack. The widow decide to check her e-mail expecting messages from relatives and friends. After reading the first message she screamed and fainted.
The widow’s son rushed into the room, found his mother on the floor, saw the computer screen which read:

TO: my loving wife

Subject: I’ve arrived
Date: April 13,2007

I know you’re surprised to hear from me. They have computers here now and you are allowed to send e-mails to your loved ones. I’ve arrived and have been checked in. I see that everything has been prepared for your arrival tomorrow. Looking forwarded to seeing you then! Hope your journey is as uneventful as mine was.

Your Loving Husband

P.S. It sure is freaking hot down here.

Dog troubles

Well we have had quite the drama around here lately, my dogs have gone on walk about twice in the past week. I have a 5 yr old border collie Meg and a half German Shepard puppy Blacky who was my sons birthday gift. Meg has a habit of going on walk about when we try and have other dogs, by herself she stays home. Well last Thursday the 19th, the bus driver asked Carly if we had a black puppy, she saw one on the road. Carly forgot to call me and then remembered to mention this Thursday night, I was so frustrated. I was sad that they were gone, I even put an add on the local radio about last dogs. I was praying that they would come home, well Saturday morning out the backdoor i saw Blacky they had come home. Praise the Lord. The kids were so glad to have them home, they let the dogs laid in the house watching TV with them. I too was so relived. Well then Tuesday Jeffery and I went to work at the shed and I let Jeffery take the dogs so that he could play with Blacky, well we got ready to leave and they were gone again. The whole nervous feelings all over again. I would go over to the shed to see if they were there but no. I was again resigned to the fact that the dogs were not going to come home again, but once again God answered our prayers. When Carly and I got home tonight Blacky was in her cage on the porch. Meg did not come when called so well at least one was back. Blacky came in and sleep like a rock. About half an hour ago I went out to get my radio to listen to a show and just called for Meg and this time she came. Oh thank you Lord. I had drove over to the shed and got my dog chain so now Meg will be chained at all times when we are not with her. I can not handle the emotional up and down of all this.

The dogs are sleeping in my room tonight, I am so relived to have them home. Plus it will be a nice surprise for Carly in the morning. Boy one of the passes so raunchy gas, I just might get gassed, ha ha.

So once again Thank You Lord for bring the dogs back, please help them be content to stay home. Amen

I finally got to do something on my shop project.

Today with the help of Heather and her dad Milt, we got alot of the taping and mudding done so we are one step closer to getting it done. It was nice to actually get to do something in the house. It has come so far in 2 months, it is not a shop anymore it is a one room house. The bonus is that 8 feet away is my trailer that will have 6 bedrooms in it, after we get the walls put up. The trailer has 3 rooms now so I will get twice the rooms, so bring on the kids. I can't wait to see how the Lord will use me and the kids next. I will have a nice new kitchen, living space and another bathroom that will be SO nice.
This picture shows me filling screw holes on the ceiling.

The weather today was wet, it did not rain all day but long enough to keep every thing mudding.

light-hearted enjoy

W.C.

An English lady, while visiting Switzerland, was looking for a room and asked a local schoolmaster if he could recommend one. He took her to several rooms, and when everything was settled, she returned home to make final arrangements for moving. When she arrived home, the thought occurred to her that she had not seen a W.C. (water closet or bathroom) around the place. She immediately wrote to the schoolmaster asking him where the W.C. was. The schoolmaster didn’t know the meaning of “W.C.”. so with a priest’s assistance, he came to the conclusion that it meant “wayside chapel” (a small building beside the road where travelers could rest or pray). He sent a letter back to the English lady, which read as follows:

Dear madam:
I take great pleasure in informing you that the nearest W.C. is situated only nine miles from the house in a beautiful grove of trees. It is capable of holding 32 people. It is open only on Mondays and Thursdays.
There are a great number of people expected during the summer months, so I would suggest that you come early, although there is usually plenty of standing room.
This is an unfortunate situation. Especially if you are in the habit of going regularly.

You will, no doubt, be glad to hear that a number of people bring there lunch and make a day of it, while others who can’t afford it, arrive just in time. I would recommend Thursdays because, on that day, there is an organ accompanist. The slightest sound can be heard anywhere.
It may interest you to know that my daughter met her husband in the W.C., and they were married there.

I can still vividly remember the rush for seats. Seven people crowded into seats for four. It was wonderful to see the expressions on there faces.
Unfortunately, my wife is rather delicate, so she has not attended in over a year. Naturally, it pains her very much not to be able to go more often. I shall be delighted to reserve a seat for you if you wish,
Where you can be seen by all.
Hoping to be of assistance, I am.
Sincerely yours.

Enjoying Sunday

I have had a very nice day today. Brogan woke up at 7 am, I changed him and feed him a bottle and then he went back to sleep. He got up at 9:30, Carly got him dressed and off we were to church. I really enjoyed the sermen today, the pastor talked about working out our salvation, not that we can earn our way to heaven but what we do reflects back on our father God. We want our actions to show others that our chistian life is important to us.

We had 4 people from church over for tacos, the kids ate and then went for a hike which left me able to really get to visit with my company which was so nice. The kids hiked for a hour all the way to my moms house they have walked to grandmas house 3 times now. This was there fastest trip so far. While the kids were hiking Brogan hook his nap, such a nice afternoon. Thank you Lord I really needed it. We are now sitting watching Ice truckers and enjoy the warm house and each other.

Getting Started

I have been thinking about starting a blog to keep track of my life and so that friends can read what my family has been up to, well I did it. So hello to all who might be read this. I can not promise that all the words will be spelled right or all the grammer or that I will not jump around some, but if you know me then this will not be a big surprise.
